When I was 9 years old an older cousin took me to a double-feature of The Fly and James Cameron’s Aliens. I can’t think of a more damaging pair of R-rated films for me to have seen at the time.
Yes, that’s right kiddies. You read correctly. Before making movies like Titanic, the Canadian made sci-fi flicks like Aliens and the Terminator series – not to mention my personal favorite, Pirhanna 2.
Anyway, the Landmark Nuart theater in west LA is having a screening of Aliens Friday at midnight. I hope to attend, if I can bring my binky.
