“Camper Extraction” (2023)

A wide-angle and laterally semi-orthogonal view of the camper trailer, from its left-rear quarter. The vehicle entrance ramp to the basement vehicle parking of a four-story residential building (exterior). The view is framed by grey stucco, windows, and utility infrastructure. A delivery worker attempts to guide the extraction process. This view of the trailer camper is partially occluded by the building and the SCE electrical transformer box housing.

I call this one “Camper Extraction”.

That’s because it’s photo of a stuck camping trailer.

This little camping trailer got stuck as it was being towed into the underground parking structure. On its way in, it damaged the motorized parking gate that had just been installed.

This incident occurred on the afternoon of June 6, 2023.

The newly built Bronson Place apartment building was still empty and work on the site was not not yet complete.

The security trailer has since been relocated.

A close-up of the trailer, from its left side. The broad, vaguely hexagonal shape of the exterior is composed of flat sheets of aluminum siding. This face is bounded by a red and blue stripe midway up, stretching from front-to-back. Beneath it is a flat tire on a black steel five-bolt axle. Midway along its roofline, the trailer rests against the raised steel gate that stands before a ramp leading below street level. The view of the descending trailer is partially occluded by the building’s west-facing exterior facade.
