It’s a giant, zoomable, ultra-high-res photo shot from a Desden rooftop. Imagine having the camera from a spy satellite and pointing it at Manhattan from the top of the Empire State building – it’s something like that. The photo is in a flash file and you can pan using the arrow keys on your keyboard and zoom in and out with the Alt and Shift keys.

Android Wifi Tether FTW

I just tried out Android Wifi Tether on my cupcake and it is rad.

I’m so happy with my new phone.

I guess I’m lucky that I’ve had so much time to explore cellular communications technology. I might just be some dope with an iPwne, fooled into thinking I’m technorati because I know how to download a fart app, all the while dropping calls and generally sucking on a handicapped and generally network connection.

That’s GSM in the US with the FCC blocking crucial spectrum, the range that can make it through buildings.

Here’s the bandwidth I got just now on my 2003- era Dell D600, tethered wirelessly to my cupcake.

A round trip to San Francisco in 0.090 seconds.

Not bad, technology. My hat’s off to you.
