BBC World Service is reporting that the crew of a Libyan Arab Republic Air Force aircraft bailed out of their plane after refusing an order to attack protesters in the besieged city of Benghazi.

The big problem with authoritarians is that the objective reality struggles to bubble up to the top. So, even though the average Joe can see where this is going, the Libyan leaders are getting nothing but good news from their underlings.
