I’m really neglecting my infrastructure.
This WordPress site is being hosted on a rather old-fashioned hosting service. I’ve been meaning to migrate it to my Bitnami hosting account, but I just haven’t made time to do it.
The problem is that my host has this service set up so that it’s impossible for WordPress to do its automatic updates. As a consequence of this, this WordPress site is vulnerable to attack, and its my responsibility to prevent that from happening.
I wonder when I’ll get around to it. Maybe this site has already been compromised and its only a matter of time before whatever Trojan its got springs its surprise payload.
Sheesh — seventeen updates needed? Sounds like a senior citizen; not a seasoned web dev.
