Bahraini Doctors, Saudi Mercs, Nuclear Safety in Japan

While the world’s eyes are turned toward a possible nuclear disaster in Japan, Saudi and UAE mercenaries are attacking – not just protestors – physicians Salmaniya Hospital in Manāma, Al Manāmah, Bahrain. The doctors were trying to care for patients who were protesting and then attacked by soldiers loyal to the Al Khalifa family regime.

Incidentally, FIA was going to open the 2011 F1 season with a race at the new circuit in Bahrain.

This would be reprehensible under normal circumstances, but it is particularly concerning considering many of the protest leaders are themselves physicians.

The Saudis and the UAE have sent in “security forces”, aka Sunni mercenaries, to suppress the revolt in that country.

If you are one of the Al Saud family’s 1,100 crown princes, hear me out: you’re not doing yourself any favors.

Meanwhile, I’ve watched a little of the raw television news footage from the Fukushima I nuclear power plant in Japan and I can’t shake the feeling that it’s starting to look a lot like Chernobyl.

So, yeah.

Made this pan out of four screens from “Fallen Arches.” In case you were wondering what all these guys are so excited about, it’s Rusty doing a shirtless “car wash” on his dad’s Walking Eye prototype.

Can’t remember the last time I was this turned off.

I mean, who wouldn’t be into that?

U.S. Navy Helicopter Crew Suffer Radiation Contamination Flying near Japanese Damaged Nuclear Plant

There are reports that a U.S. Navy helicopter and its crew had to be quarantined for radiation contamination after flying 160 km northeast of the Fukushima nuclear facility. On Saturday the plant suffered from what NHK termed a “hydrogen explosion.”

It’s cheap. It’s clean. It’s easy to monitor.

It’s too clean to monitor. It’s nuclear power!

Don’t forget to turn the lights out when you’re done.
