It’s not what it used to be.

People who weren’t here then don’t remember the endless gray, rainy skies Angelenos endured through the winter of 1982/1983.

When the sun doesn’t shine for weeks on end. In LA. It feels like the end.

It happened in 2005; I remember.

Anyway, here’s what Venice looked like back in ’83.

That’s pretty aggressive.

The Russian Navy’s Pacific Fleet has deployed state-of-the-art anti-ship missile systems on two of the islands off Hokkaido claimed by Japan, the fleet’s newspaper reported recently.
